Afid Mobile Privacy Policy

At Afid Mobile we take privacy issues very seriously

• When you use Afid Mobile your phone number is never revealed to other people, businesses or organisations. If you join Loops and have not set your nick name (by logging in to your account) and do not join with a name or identifier the owner of the Loop will see only an unidentifiable random Afid generated nick name e.g. U0843.

  When you set your nick name they will then see that nick name and if you change your nick name they will see the new one. If you want them to see a specific name or identifier then rejoin the Loop giving that name or identifier. Note - we don't recommend ever joining a Loop and using your mobile phone number as an identifier.

  We need to collect and store your phone number so that we can send the text messages people send to you to you and to receive text messages from you to send on to other people.

  You need to have a unique user name which we will store along with a password so that you may access the services available through the Afid Mobile website. You are able to change your user name, your password, your phone number and your nick name as often as you desire.

  We ensure that blocking a user or Loop and leaving a Loop stops all further messages from that user or Loop.

  We would like to know your age and gender in order to better understand our users and continue to improve our products and services for you.

  While we will collect information about your use of Afid Mobile we will never sell or reveal information that will be directly identifiable to you and you will never receive messages or material from anyone you have not consented to receiving messages or material from. However, if legally required to reveal account or message content to an appropriately legally empowered person or organisation we will do so.

  Afid Mobile cannot take responsibility for situations where you have given your phone number or other identifying personal details to people, businesses or organisations and they are then able contact you directly.

  Afid Mobile cannot take responsibility for situations where you have revealed your password or have saved or recorded your password in such a manner that another person can access your Afid Mobile account. Additionally we cannot take responsibility for situations where control of a phone associated with your Afid Mobile account falls into another persons hands and they utilise Afid Mobile functions without your consent.

  If you are directed from the Afid Mobile website to the website of a message sender or advertiser we recommend you satisfy yourself with the privacy policy of the person, business or organisation operating that website. Afid Mobile takes no responsibility for the content and ant data capture methods of websites you may be directed to.
