Loops Help - General

Joining Loops
- To get in a Loop you just text the invite code for that Loop to 2343. You will get a confirmation message from Afid Mobile and you may also get current messages from the Loop.
If you just send the invite code for the Loop you will appear in the Loop owner’s contacts as a random nickname unless you have logged in to your Afid Mobile account and chosen a nickname. Your phone number is never revealed when you join a Loop.
You may want to join a Loop and appear in the Loop owner’s contacts as a specific name so they can easily send you individual messages. To join with a specific name you send the Loop invite code followed by what you want to appear as in their contacts.
For example, to join a Loop with the invite code of 1234 and appear as John Example in that Loop owner’s contacts you would send “1234 John Example” to 2343.
Receiving Messages
- When you join a Loop the Loop owner can send you messages in two ways. If they Yell a message to their Loop you will receive it on your phone immediately as a text message. If they Tell a message to their Loop you will receive it when you want it.
To receive messages people Tell to Loops you have joined text “check” to 2343.
If you have joined Local Loops you can send “eat”, “buy” or “enjoy” to get specific relevant messages.
You can also receive messages using your computer.
When you join your first Loop you have an Afid Mobile account created for you. To see how to log in for the first time click here.
When you log in you are taken to your Loop Viewer in the My Loops section. Here you can see current messages in the Loops you have joined.
Click on the name of a Loop under Joined Loops to see only messages in that Loop. To see an overview of all the messages in all the Loops you have joined click on View all my Messages.
Managing Loops
- To block messages from Loops you have joined you use the senders nickname, which appears at the start of the message.
For example, to block messages from a sender with the nickname DemoName you would send “block DemoName” to 2343.
You can also join Loops and block messages using your computer.
Using Your Afid Mobile Account
- When you join your first Loop you have an Afid Mobile account created for you. To see how to log in for the first time click here.
Log in with the temporary details that you receive on your phone.
Once you have logged in click on Manage Account in the upper right corner of the screen and enter a user name, password and nickname of your choice into the appropriate boxes then click the save changes button at the bottom.
When you are logged in to you Afid Mobile account you can join Loops and manage how you receive messages from Loops you have joined.
To join a Loop click on the Loops and Messages link on the navigation along the top of the screen, then the Manage Loops link on the left of the screen once you are in the My Loops section.
Enter the invite code into the Join a Loop box and click the Go button. To join a Loop with a specific name enter the invite code followed by the name you want to use then click Go.
You will see a list of the Loops you have joined under the Joined Loops heading and under those Loops a range of options you can apply to Loops you have joined.
You can leave a Loop by selecting it and clicking "Leave".
You can block or unblock messages from a Loop by selecting it and clicking "Block" or "Unblock".
You can have messages people Tell a Loop you have joined sent immediately to your phone by selecting it and clicking "Autocheck".
Sending Messages
- You can send a message to someone who’s Loop you have joined using either your phone or computer.
If you are using your phone you and wanted to send “that sounds great” to someone with the nickname “DemoUser” your would send “tell DemoUser that sounds great” to 2343.
If you are logged in to your Afid Mobile account on your computer you can simply click on their nick name in the message header, type your message into the box at the bottom of the Message Viewer and click Tell.
